How do I know
an email is from this group?
All group emails will have the prefix [PresGen] in the subject
field.
How do I
contact the owner or moderators of this group?
The moderators can be contacted by emailing
pres_gen@yahoo.co.uk
Can I reply to posts?
Yes, but please do not reply to questions on the
group - please reply to the poster only - see below.
For other occasions please
consider if your own post is within the PresGen guidelines. If not it may
be more appropriate to reply to the sender only.
How do I reply to the original poster
without sending a message to the whole of PresGen?
The current
group settings are configured as reply to 'sender' and for most mailing
software clicking 'reply' will ensure any reply will only go to the
sender. However members who receive the digest version or use the yahoo
group to send their messages are advised to ensure that the address in
the 'To' field is not the PresGen address. If it is then do the
following; make a note of the original posters email address and then
click forward, typing or pasting the relevant email address in the 'To'
field.
Why can't I ask a question?
The group is a list to disseminate information only. There are plenty of question
and answer forums.
Please try The Preservation Page (Yahoo Group) or the
Preserved Diesels Web Forum.
What is the
Files section for?
The files section is for documents (timetables/diagrams
etc). You must be a member of PresGen to access this section.
I get a lot
of email from this group and I want to change this setting, is this
possible?
Yes your account can be set to get no email and simply
view the
homepage or you can receive a daily digest. You can change the setting
in your own Yahoo settings or contact pres_gen@yahoo.co.uk
and we will make the change for you.
I want to post an attachment but it does not appear. How do I send attachments?
For security reasons attachments are not allowed, please send any
attachments to the
moderators who will place it in the files section (see above).
I have a suggestion for a change to PresGen. How do I go about submitting it?
